AlienSound Recording Studio is run by Mark Wainwright, a multi-instrumentalist, performing musician, and sound engineer.

AlienSound has been 'docking' at Cock Farm in Lathom for nearly 2 decades, but Mark has been running recording studios for nearly 3 decades! Mark has worked in the music industry for over 40 years, been a member of several signed bands, and countless unsigned ones!

Mark has an ear for the strange and unusual - the alien and the original !

With over £60,000 of instruments and equipment at his disposal, Mark can always find a solution to your sonic quandaries.

We often welcome names of renown to RECORD AT THE STUDIO

The Farm, The Lottery Winners, The Virginmarys, Boss Kelloid, Vile Assembly, Haiku Waifu, Tits Up, The Cavern's resident 'Paul McCartney' (Tony Coburn), The Universal,  Rumours of Fleetwood Mac, Kids on Bridges, Benjamin Wood, and Chris Sharrock have all made a racket right here!

Mark has REMIXED for INXS, Joseph “Zigaboo” Modeliste of The Meters, Sunlight Square to name a few.

Mark works over a variety of formats, and in all genres in each!

Music clients create everything from backing tracks and demos, to punk, electronica, folk, skiffle, thrash metal and more.

PODCASTERS can come in to wax lyrical about everything from cinema to psychotherapy, while Mark conscientiously records and edits for a smooth flow of conversation.

We have welcomed celebrities (Will Sergeant of Echo & the Bunny Men) and experts (Paul Thompson on Jake Thackray) to narrate their AUDIOBOOKS.

We have helped clients lay down HYPNOTHERAPY TAPES, provided AUDIO RESTORATION services,  created CORPORATE JINGLES, presentation soundtracks, and even CHILDREN'S MUSIC stars to lay down their sing-a-long-a-story tunes.

Mark is now joined by his partner in crime, Lucy, who can narrate your audiobook for you, or provide silky jazz vocals, whistling, belting BACKING VOCALS and more.
